We are seeking a PMO Director to relocate to Seoul, South Korea and play a key leadership role in one of Asia’s largest offshore wind developments.
The Role
On behalf of our client, a major player in the global renewable energy industry, we are hiring a PMO Director to join a dynamic international team working on commercial-scale offshore wind projects in South Korea.
This senior role blends strategic leadership with operational excellence, overseeing all aspects of project governance, scheduling, cost control and change management. You’ll be instrumental in steering the PMO setup and execution, ensuring international best practices are implemented and continuously improved.
Relocation support to South Korea will be provided for the right candidate.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development and implementation of project governance and procedural frameworks.
- Establish and improve best practices in scheduling, cost control, change control and risk management.
- Ensure reporting in line with PMO standards and governance requirements.
- Drive coordination between contractors, package leads, and central PMO functions.
- Facilitate scenario planning and milestone alignment across multiple workstreams.
- Monitor project performance and provide actionable reports and forecasts.
- Deliver PMO tools and training across the organization.
- Maintain high-quality standards through audits and lessons learned programs.
- Develop project dashboards and digital reporting solutions (Primavera P6, Power BI).
- Champion Health, Safety, Well-being, and Environmental (HSWE) practices.
What We’re Looking For
- A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in engineering, business, finance, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in schedule and cost management on large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
- Proven success in leading PMO or Project Controls in complex, international environments.
- Expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Experience with systems like Aconex or PIMS is advantageous.
- Familiarity with structured project frameworks and stage-gate processes.
- PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
- Fluent English communication skills; Korean language proficiency is a plus.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving capabilities.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset with a passion for excellence and continuous improvement.
