Project Planning Consultant for Offshore Wind Projects in Hamburg

The Role 

Joining our international Project Controls team, you will be working full-time on offshore wind farm projects with one of our clients. As our new Project Planning Consultant, your key task is to create and maintain the master program during the project’s development and construction phase. Furthermore, you will ensure that all key stakeholders are informed about the project’s progress and any significant deviations.   

What You’ll Do 

  • Oversee overall project planning, ensuring alignment with the project model and program 
  • Manage schedule development, optimization, and maintenance 
  • Develop project strategy for execution timing 
  • Conduct schedule analyses and scenario modeling 
  • Align all critical stakeholder schedules 
  • Report on time planning and performance internally and externally 
  • Benchmark, report, and forecast construction performance 
  • Assist the project team in identifying the critical path 
  • Facilitate planning sessions and train project participants in effective planning 
  • Integrate contractor schedule inputs into the master schedule 
  • Collaborate with Risk Management and Cost Control teams 
  • Support the PMO Manager 

What We’re Looking For 

Bringing the below skills and qualities will make it easier to succeed in the role of Project Planning Consultant in Hamburg: 

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related technical field, with a strong interest in renewable energy projects 
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role in the wind, construction, or related industry 
  • Competencies equivalent to PMI-SP 
  • Proven experience in project planning, project management, or related roles 
  • Proficient in Primavera and Microsoft Project 
  • Strong knowledge of planning, risk management, interface management, and cost control 
  • Extensive experience in audits, surveillance, critiques, and root cause analysis 
  • Experience in portfolio planning 
  • Programming skills in MATLAB, VBA, or similar languages 
  • In-depth understanding of the German market, culture, and industry processes 
  • Fluent in English and German with excellent communication skills to convey complex matters effectively
