The size of lease areas for offshore wind farms in the United States is tremendous.
We are not talking about football fields or city blocks, but entire cities. Lease area OCS-A 0501 (675 km²) alone is 5-times greater than the land area of Boston (125 km²). That’s a lot of wind energy waiting to be harvested, potentially supplying power to over one million US households.
