Wind Turbine Quality Inspector

The Role

As WTG Quality Inspector, you will be embedded in a large-scale offshore wind farm project, working closely with the client to ensure the quality and traceability of turbine components during critical delivery phases. Based in New Bedford, MA, you will support quality assurance activities through detailed inspections, documentation, and coordination with suppliers and site teams.

What You Will Do

  • Perform incoming and outgoing quality inspections of wind turbine components according to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Document and report inspection results through checklists, daily logs, certificates, and quality reports.
  • Monitor production and dispatch activities, ensuring compliance with inspection protocols.
  • Identify and report non-conformances, participate in root cause analyses, and support corrective actions.
  • Conduct visual inspections and, where required, support non-destructive testing activities and data reviews.
  • Liaise with the client and stakeholders to provide updates and clarify inspection findings.
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards at all times.
  • Support back-office reporting and technical documentation reviews as needed.

What We Are Looking For

Bringing the below skills and qualities will make it easier to succeed in this role:

  • 2–5 years of relevant quality inspection experience, preferably in wind energy or related industrial fields.
  • Educational background in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical discipline.
  • Familiarity with wind turbine components, manufacturing processes, and quality documentation practices.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and inspection test plans.
  • Experience working offshore.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to identify defects and follow through on quality findings.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently on-site in coordination with project stakeholders.
  • U.S. citizenship or valid U.S. work permit is required.
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are an asset.
  • High motivation, flexibility, and agility with a can-do attitude
  • Team player attitude with a curious and innovative mindset
