The Role
We seek an experienced Project Manager to join an offshore wind farm project in Seoul, Korea. The position will be full-time. Joining our international team, you will lead all technical aspects of the project’s offshore and onshore radar package through design, engineering, fabrication, and installation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marine operations, and environmental agencies, to ensure the optimal performance of meteorological and radar instruments that are crucial for safe and efficient wind farm operations. You will report directly to the EPC Director and collaborate with senior PMs to capture synergies and optimizations.
What You’ll Do
Safety and Compliance
- Uphold stringent safety standards, ensuring all operations comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Lead safety briefings and training sessions to foster a safety-first culture within the team.
Technical Analysis and Work Package Definition:
- Develop the package grounded in technical analysis to ensure optimal design and construction, promoting the highest reliability, quality, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the designer to complete the FEED & detailed design strategy
- Develop a data delivery plan in collaboration with key stakeholders and compliance with local data regulations.
Documentation and Supplier Engagement:
- Prepare comprehensive specifications and technical documentation to facilitate engagements with subcontractors and supplier evaluations for the procurement of the jacket foundation, power source, radar equipment, and data management.
- Collaborate closely with the contracts and procurement manager to develop contracts, emphasizing technical and execution aspects to foster robust relationships with key suppliers.
Project Planning and Control:
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including budget, schedule, and resource management, in collaboration with the Project Controls department.
- Manage the budget diligently, evaluating the performance of contractors and subcontractors engaged in the project.
- Develop and oversee risk management plans for the package, integrating them into the overarching project risk management strategy.
- Document and manage all interfaces in the package.
Project Execution:
- Oversee the fabrication of the jacket foundation structure
- Oversee the foundation and radar system’s transportation, installation, and commissioning.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of the offshore & onshore radar power supply.
- Oversee the final calibrations and data transfer compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with governmental agencies, environmental organizations, and local communities to secure necessary permits and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate project progression and ensure objectives are met timely.
Data Management and Reporting
- Ensure the accurate collection and delivery of data to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular project reports to stakeholders, including progress updates and forecasts.
What We’re Looking For
Bringing the below skills and qualities will make it easier to succeed in this role:
- Relevant degree or study program within Engineering or similar, paired with a general interest in developing renewable energy projects.
- 8+ years of experience as a foundation engineer, with OWF foundation design experience.
- Experience with managing stakeholders and clients.
- Project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are desirable.
- Experience managing Offshore Wind packages both technically and commercially would be beneficial.
- Leadership skills and management experience
- Knowledge of managing interfaces between construction packages, Marine Warranty Surveyor, Consents Compliance and Health, Safety and Environment
- Fluency in English and excellent communication skills, enabling you to present complex matters confidently and professionally.
