Document Controller for Offshore Wind Consultancy

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Document Controller working full-time as part of an offshore wind project. Reporting to the Senior Document Controller, you will ensure that all documentation is managed in a consistent and organized manner to support the project’s development, procurement, and contracting activities.

What You’ll Do 

  • Develop, implement, and modify document control procedures 
  • Manage the overall storage of relevant documents in a central document management system  
  • Create document control user guides and implement training sessions 
  • Support contractors and consultants with the usage of the central document management system  
  • Ensure consistent documentation storage across teams and easy access to documents  
  • Report regularly on document storage activities  
  • Prioritize potential software customizations to the central document management system  
  • Process and record all requests for information and support contractors via bid processes  
  • Collaborate with the contracts team to review and finalize all documents for contract execution  

What We’re Looking For 

To succeed in this role, you should bring the following skill sets:  

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited program 
  • 2-5 years of experience in document control services for large projects or organizations 
  • Substantial knowledge of document control software and systems (e.g., PIMS) 
  • Ability to manage staff and delegate tasks when required 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, along with a service-oriented approach to document management and control 
  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills, enabling you to present complex matters in a professional and straightforward way
