OWP Gennaker Selects LAUTEC SaaS Platform

LAUTEC has been selected by OWP Gennaker (Gennaker), a subsidiary of Skyborn Renewables, to deploy its SaaS platform across the Gennaker Offshore Wind Farm project in Germany.

The agreement will see Gennaker leverage LAUTEC’s software of digital project management tools to support the execution of what will become the largest offshore wind project in the German Baltic Sea.

Gennaker will deploy LAUTEC’s integrated SaaS platform — spanning Daily Progress Reporting (DPR), Quality Inspection (Q), WindGIS and Analytics — to manage project data, track construction progress, and maintain quality oversight throughout the construction programme. The software will provide Gennaker’s project team with real-time visibility across all workstreams as the project moves from development into execution, with the offshore installation works being scheduled for 2027–2028.

LAUTEC’s SaaS platform was developed in close collaboration with experienced project teams and is purpose-built for the complexity of large-scale offshore wind farm projects. By combining field data capture, quality inspection workflows and geospatial project management in a single integrated environment, the platform enables faster decision-making, reduces the administrative burden on site teams, and creates a structured, auditable data record from first steel to final commissioning.

“We are delighted to support Gennaker in its new phase. With a capacity of up to 976.5 MW, this is the most significant offshore wind farm project in the German Baltic Sea, and it is exactly the type of complex, multi-workstream construction programme that our SaaS platform was designed for. We look forward to working closely with the Project team to ensure that every phase of the project benefits from streamlined data management, real-time progress visibility, and deep digitalization of quality inspection data .”

Henrik S. Iversen, Managing Partner, Head of IT, LAUTEC

Initiated by Skyborn Renewables in 2011, the Gennaker Offshore Wind Farm is located 15 km north of the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula in the German Baltic Sea and will comprise 63 15MW-class SGRE wind turbine generators, installed on monopile foundations, delivering a total installed capacity of up to 976.5 MW. Once commissioned in 2028, the project is expected to generate enough clean electricity to power approximately one million German households.

With specialized consultants and custom software solutions already supporting projects across Europe, the United States, and APAC, LAUTEC continues to expand its SaaS client base among leading offshore wind developers. The OWP Gennaker agreement further reinforces the company’s position as a trusted technology partner for the offshore wind industry’s most ambitious projects.
