Hanwha Ocean Selects LAUTEC for Daily Progress Reporting on the Shinan Ui Offshore Wind Farm

LAUTEC has signed an agreement with Shinan Ui Offshore Wind Project (SPC) to deliver its Daily Progress Reporting (DPR) solution for the transportation and installation (T&I) campaign of the Shinan Ui Offshore Wind Farm in South Korea, with WindGIS included as an option under the agreement.

At 390 MW, the Shinan Ui project is one of the largest and most significant domestic offshore wind developments in Korea’s history.

Under the agreement, LAUTEC’s DPR platform will provide Hanwha Ocean’s project team with a structured, real-time reporting environment throughout the offshore T&I campaign, capturing daily progress data across all major installation workstreams, maintaining transparency between project stakeholders, and enabling faster, data-driven decision-making on site. The inclusion of WindGIS as an option further extends the capability available to the team, offering web-based geospatial data management and visualization tailored to offshore wind construction.

LAUTEC’s DPR solution has been purpose-built for the offshore wind sector and is already deployed across some of the industry’s most complex installation campaigns globally. Designed to replace fragmented reporting processes with a single, structured digital workflow, the tool ensures that every stakeholder, from vessel teams to onshore project managers, has consistent, accurate and timely visibility of project performance.

We found that LAUTEC’s DPR is among the most widely used reporting tools in the offshore wind industry, trusted to ensure structured and transparent progress tracking. We are confident that it equips teams with the right insights to effectively monitor performance, enhance visibility, and support timely decision-making.  It’s inspiring to see proven digital solutions playing a meaningful role in driving efficiency and success in such complex offshore wind projects.”

I’m excited to share that the Shinan Ui Project, one of the spearheading offshore wind developments in Korea, marks a meaningful opportunity for us. We are proud to support the project – led by Hanwha Ocean – by providing DPR services for the T&I campaign. It is a privilege to contribute to the successful delivery of such a landmark project. Looking forward to being part of this journey.

The Shinan Ui offshore wind farm is located in waters southeast of Ui Island in Shinan County, South Jeolla Province, and will comprise 26 Vestas V236-15.0 MW turbines on jacket foundations. The project is developed by a joint venture including Hanwha Ocean, SK Eternix, Korea Midland Power, Future Energy Fund, and Hyundai Engineering & Construction, and is targeting full operations by 2029. Once operational, the wind farm is expected to generate approximately 1,052 GWh of clean electricity annually – enough to power around 292,500 Korean households.

The Shinan Ui agreement marks another step in LAUTEC’s growing presence in the South Korean offshore wind market and reflects the company’s broader commitment to supporting the energy transition across APAC. With offices in Seoul and Taipei, LAUTEC is well-positioned to provide both digital project management tools and on-the-ground consulting expertise to developers and contractors operating across the region.
