Research & Development Consultant

The Role 

We are looking for a Research & Development Consultant who will be working full-time on various offshore wind projects as part of LAUTEC US. You will join our international team, where you will play a key role in furthering the reach and execution of LAUTEC’s internal projects.  

Responsibilities

  • Design, manage, and complete LAUTEC’s innovative research and development projects within the US offshore wind sector 
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, clients, and government agencies for LAUTEC’s working collaborations and endeavors 
  • Assist in global company-led, short-term development projects across all areas of offshore wind development  
  • Conduct research and analysis on US offshore wind development 
  • Attend major conferences and industry networking events 
  • Onboard, train, and support interns 

About You

Bringing the below skills and qualities will make it easier to succeed in this role: 

  • Relevant degree or study program within Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Engineering, or similar, paired with a general interest in developing renewable energy projects 
  • 3+ years of experience in renewable energy, large-scale construction, or a project management role 
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team 
  • Experience in building new and maintaining existing business relationships 
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint) 
  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills, enabling you to present complex matters in a professional and straightforward way 
  • You are highly motivated, flexible, and agile with a can-do attitude 
  • You are a team player with a curious and innovative mindset who likes to challenge the status quo 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Strong understanding of the latest technological trends within  offshore wind  
  • A strong network of offshore wind professionals 
  • Comfortable working with experts from a wide range of topics
  • Experience in managing a small team
